This is Alcatraz's Partial Stroke Testing device, designed for inline testing & controlling of Emergency Shut Down valves on live facilities & processes.
ESD valves are an essential piece of safety equipment. They are one of the last defences in protecting assets, environment and personnel.
However they do spend most of their operational life in a non-active state, so need end-users are required check these systems annually to ensure they don't become stuck in their position, as that could possibly mean if the time ever came, they possibly wouldn't respond as they should.
GEORGE (PST) enables safe, controlled partial stroke testing of ESD valves during normal operation, without the need to stop or shut down the process, or risk having the host ESD valve overshoot.
The system mechanically blocks valve movement beyond the desired test angle, ensuring safe and repeatable testing every time.
