The patented Alcatraz key and lock portion are designed so that assembly is possible without any adjustment or machining. Assembly can be done in our workshop or at the premises of a local agent. As an option a special emergency kit can be available to adjust or extend your

safety system on site. Your own spare key in a few minutes! In the patented design the key slides over the lock portion instead of going in to the lock portion which results in a sand and dirt resistant and strong construction.

Key and Lock

  • In case you might loose a key, no problem, simply reproduce your own key on site in a few minutes, without any machining. This is only possible using a special emergency kit.
  • Once a key has been assembled it can not be dis­mounted because of a special designed breaking bolt.
  • The key slides over the lock portion and therefore has a double function also as a protecting dust cap furthermore the key does not push dirt and sand into the locking mechanism.
  • When by mistake the incorrect key is used it is clearly blocked and can not slide over the lock portion.
  • Solid and compact construction with a minimum of moving parts.
  • Resistant against sand, dirt, and moisture because of an automatic closing dust cap.
  • Resistant against fire and low temperatures because all parts are stainless steel 316 as standard.

Material SS

  • All locks and keys are stainless steel SS 316 as standard.
  • All locks and keys are electro polished as standard to reduce attraction of pollution.
  • All brackets are stainless steel and sandblasted as standard.

Mounting Systems

  • No removal of the original handwheel or other parts (Example: switches for MOV valves).

  • A mounting system can be installed on valves first without installing the locks and keys, these can be installed later after testing using just two coded M8 bolts and special tool (bolt lock type).
